Alphabet Lounge, NYC
Opening night of the tour... I ended up working the sound board, holding down the door and working the bar at various times throughout the night. Oh yeah... I performed too!
I won't get into the semantics but it was sill a dope night. DJ Polarity came through and held down the sound for the night. Royall Witt and a few other cats came through and ripped it for the open mic segment. Royall Witt is one y'all need to be on the lookout for. My #1 Fan Linda was in the house holding me down from early. Doors opened at 7pm and I didn't get on stage till around 11pm and she stuck it out. Thanks love! All of the acts were on point! U know how I do on stage. Jumping into the crowd, laying the pipe, etc... My highlight for the night was KLM and Michael J (the dancers) these cats were off the chain! Dudes had pyrotechnics and shyt. They were literally on fire! The crowd went nuts when I brought out the energitis vest... Don't know what it is? Well U should have been there. Show up at my next show and you my get to see it then! It's really energetic and very bright to say the least. Energitis is relatively new to my stage show and seems to be becoming a crowd favorite. If you like it on the album, you should definitely peep it out at a show. It adds a whole new dimension.

Stop missing my shows dammit!

Went to see my homey Adam Jeeze in West Philly. I did a tour with him in 2000 called the Ghetto Barbershop Tour. What a dope cat. They were having a yard sale and drinking brews on his porch then it was off to:
The Fire, Philadelphia
You wanna talk about CPT (that's Colored People's Time for the ethnically challenged)...
A party bus from Washington DC was scheduled to arrive at the spot at 4 p m... They got to the spot at like 5:30 so guess what? Sets had to be cut short. Maaaaan!!!
Why I gotta suffer for CPT? U know? My moms and my sister came all the way from NYC to see my show. Big ups to them I love y'all. They had a blast. Energitis is definitely the favorite track of the tour so far. The energitis vest was, again, the show stopper! Don't know? Bring that ass out before I switch it up to some totally different shyt! The whole crew was dope. I got to see The Indikator for the first time in a while. I love that dude. Got a chance to do an interview for his Philly based video show. It was maad fun!
After the show had the worst ghetto Chinese food I've ever eaten in my life. It's all good though. Had a dope convo with Indikator and this dude Sean. One of the best times I've had kickin' it in a while. Afterwards I went back to check my man Adam Jeeze. He was on the Ghetto Barbershop Tour for a few shows with me in 2000. This cat has one of the dopest stage personas and voices I've heard to date! We went looking for a party tht didn't exist and ended up in a bar somewhere. I crashed at his crib later on and in the morning we went to this dope middle eastern spot for some grub! I bumped in to my man Jubei... well actually I saw him and I thought it was him but I wasn't quite sure. Anyway we ended up on the phone. I went into this cafe and this dude said he'd seen me on a picture in his boy's crib on the wall. Turns out it was DJ Ambush from Chester PA, my boy from back in 200 from the Philadelphia Music Conference. Small world man!

This is a day of high emotional impact for me so I'm glad I had a chance to drive by myself and reflect on shyt on the way to Maryland for the next show. Speaking of that. This show was soooooo ghetto. I was the first person there. This place wasn't even on the map. Crazy shyt. There was a spral staircase with what looked like vomit at the base. The A/C was broken and the sound man was late. The crowd was thin because nobody could find the place. Oh well. I still managed to gain a few friends and fans out of the deal and sell some CDs. All the acts were dope and D'en D Productions is now a new favorite of mine. I'll put some pics up soon...
Yeah Yeah... I know... shaddap!

What a fuckin ride!
We got in the van right after the show in MD and headed down to Atlanta!
Ate some nasty Bo'Jangles food. Never again! Tour food sucks! I'm bringing some fruit on the next go around! Anyway We had a blast on the way there but what a haul! Hey I have no complaints because on the way there I didn't drive at all!
The show was dope. The people in Atlanta seem to be all "Crunked Out" they were pretty tired of all the artists there getting on stage with the crunk styles. I actually enjoyed it. When we got up their attention changed. Hotness! That's what I want. People who have an eye for something different! The club owner liked my set so much, she invited me over and bought me a few drinks. Hey!! That's what I'm talking about! We got invited out for more. Linked up ith a cat named Big Teazey and he's got some radio shows and such that he want me to be a part of. Fantastic! We chilled in a chill hotel. I roomed with Jimmy Black who set of the fire alarm in the room while smoking a blunt and almost got us thrown out. What the hell? HAHA That's all part of the road. I mean damn, It would have been OK if I was smoking too, but I don't even smoke weed! I do however eat pork all you haters! Yes.... Pork! Dammit! I know this has absolutely nothing to do with what I'm writing about, but so what!

The trip back was brutal. I drove for like 4 hours. I ate some nasty assed McDonalds Filet-O-Fish. Hey... OK... U wanna get into details? OK. Look man... I'm human. My stomach started to grumble. I had to bust the illest fart... but I had the 80 mph cruise going and like all 4 of these dudes were in the van sleeping. I couldn't open the windows because they would've woke up and I couldn't just bust it because they would've woke up... so I drove for like an hour straight until my joint cramped up so bad I had to stop off at a rest stop. That had to be the loudest gas explosion in the world when I got out of that van! I know I'm nasty, but you're still reading right! Yes... your favorite emcee had to fart! I have news for you... Beyonce and Brad Pitt fart too! Get a grip and live huh?!

Made it back to NYC in one piece!
Read this again later I'll have a few more details when I have more time to write!

Peace, Love and the MIC,
Tah!

I'be been around the North East and I, I, I...
I can't get enough of thys shyt!

May 6th, 2006
Left on the Pittsburg Excursion... Chilled with M'ported flowz and the fam over at his crib after a grueling 6 hour and 45 minute drive. We had the M'Ported Flowz Wings... This dude makes the lip burning-est wings I've had in a loooong time! Thanks to Port, and the wife -n-kidz for the hospitality.
We made moves over to the H-Kahn Hookah Bar where the LOWdown CD release party was gonna jump off. Got up in the spot early... Had the worst tasting, most potent, and least expensive Long Island Iced Tea I've ever had just before I got on stage... Holy shyt... what a buzz! The cats that got on before me were extremely dope! HymnEye got up right before me and tore it down. We did the collabo track that we're all on called "That's how it goes". (peep em on http://beyourselfrecords.com ) The crowd ate it up. I told y'all about these collabos man. I ain't playin! The Burgh definitely has some talent. Sorry that I didn't get to make it out to Button Pusha's event that same night, the Hip-Hop Buffet. If you're ever in Pittsburgh, I suggest you look it up! You won't be sorry.

Talent Alert!
There were a few really dope acts on the bill. Particualrly these cats called Loose Change. Very innovative dudes. I was feelin' their set a whole lot. Peep them out at http://www.loosechangenet.com . They've got a promising sound ans a shit load of charisma. Sixpence get at me man!

The Lowdown CD is dope as was their performance. It's on rotation big time at the crib and in the car. (Peep em at http://slamjamz.com ). Congratz to Tirade and C-Doc the Warhammer on the release... My favorite joint... Lyrical Transportation. I suggest you listen to it. I suggest you buy the CD after you get mine dammit!
Oh yeah.. the CD comes with a DVD and I'm in one of the videos on the DVD!
Ha Ha!!! Get it dammit!

May 10th... The Mini tour excursion begins!
This is the beginning of a May full of travel for me.
Burlington Vermont. I drove out to the BOOOOONDOCKS y'all. Big shout to mapquest for holding a bruh down with directions accurate to the eight of a foot! If you saw all the twists and turns I had to make, you'd be amazed. It's crazy... I never experienced roadrage in NYC and I go out to Burlington Vermont and get cursed out by an angry, crass driver for standing to close to the corner. What the f?
I have never been to a show where people showed up looking like they just finished milking cows. Bonnets and all. Straight Little House on the Prarie!
Once again hosting the show as Ringmaster for Circus of the Shattered Monkey at Club Metronome. I met some kool people. Had the illest pulled pork sandwich downstairs at the spot... Yes Tah indulges in the swine... last time I had your mama pourin' the gravy on it! (That was for all the weed smokers and the religious freaks who sin all week long and go to church on Sunday and the cigarette smokers that eat beef who talk shyt about me eating pork. All others please disregard the last statement). Anyway the bands were tight. Lots of Banjo action. Nice to hear indie music with a different flavor. Met a few cats who made a point to tell me every major street they had set foot on in Brooklyn. Why must people prove to me how "Hip Hop" they are by name dropping and street aknowledgements. I know where I live. I want to hear about where you live. Please y'all I know you're excited about NYC, but I want to know about your hometown. I don't mind it for a couple of minutes, but 30-45 minutes about NYC stuff I already know really bores me when I'm 600 miles away from home! Tell me about your hood dammit!

Had a dope time. Once again... Mapquest came through with the step by step direction from Burlington VT to Adirondack NY....
Why did I go to adirondack? My boy Bishop Blasphemy is on lock for some nonsense. I went to go check him... I drove all the way out there through the mountains only to be told that there is only visiting on the weekends. Maaaaaaaannnn!!!! I couldn't get pissed because the scenery was fantastic on the way there. Upstate NY is beautiful... On the real. People think NY and they think concrete jungle. This was indeed an eye opener for me. Hopefully I'll get to see Bishop another time. It would have been a dope surpise.

Got back on the road and drove allllllll the way to Buffalo NY ( which in on the West side of NY....
7 hours away. Yeah... the shyt I do to entertain muthaphukas The drive wasn't as kool this time. It rained and rained and rained!
I stopped at Denny's to eat like half way through... Hey no racist bullshyt.... Let's hear it for Denny's for stepping up their game after shelling out millions in lawsuit settlements in the 1990s.
Mapquest let me down once I got into Buffalo, but I latched to the street game through Vindigo on my pocket PC and found my way to the spot. That's right y'all fuck a gun... I got gadgets!

Got to Broadway Joe's in Buffalo... As usual I was the first one there.
Went in and got all my props and shyt set up. Met the staff and all that jazz.
Loki da Trixta, Saga One and Mike Spice from Cypher Productions showed up soon after me.
The DJ's came in and set up their shyt... Now we wait for the crowd to show up.
Hit up the dopest sandwich spot. Had this chicken cheese steak that knocked me off my ass!
Mike Spice and Saga thought I was crazy because they gave me beef first and I was like... "Nah yo... I don't eat beef", but I just finished bragging aout the pulled pork sandwich in Vermont.
LOOK damit... I don't eat beef because I don't eat beef. It is not a religion thing.... It's a Tah thing! I do however indulge in the fine arts of porkometry, swine-ology and oinkanomics. And no I still don't smoke weed...Ha Ha! Here's your pancakes Bitchezzzz!!!!

Back to the scene of the crime...
The show was dope. Of course U know me... The captain of props and shyt. I walked in the spot askin for the CD player... Everyone was like "don't worry we got you Tah". I was like "OK". When they introduced me. There was no CD player to be found. What the Fuck man???They tried to play my shyt in Loki's Computer which froze up. Then they were like yo... go get your player from the car... The quickest way to lose a crowd is to have them waiting. So I said "Bunk Dat" (the ol' school heads know what I mean by that). I rocked it Acca-P style. No music. I gotta say... It was one of the best shows I've rocked. I freestyled with the crowd for like 10 minutes. Then I did Mic-101, then today, then more freestyle then I cut it short. U gotta know when to call it quits so that the crowd doesn't get bored. All in all I had a dope response. People bought CDs and I got filmed for a video show. Dopeness. We went to Lok's peeps crib and shacked out for the night.

May 12, 2006
Woke up on the couch and people were all over the place
cookin' and eatin and shyt. Craziness. There was a dog jumpin all over the place and shyt. We went for breakfast then it was back on the road for another 7 hours back to NYC.
I made it bac in time for Third Party's CD release party for their new alum "Separation of Powers". http://www.saywordentertainment.com peep them out!I was exhausted but I made it. The show was incredible. It was packed! I got invited to hit the MIC for a freestyle cypher at the end of the show. I ended up stage diving and being caught by Tranquil. I told y'all before... I love this dude. He is so spontaneous. I broke my ipod and lost my fountain pen during the jump but it was all worth it! Congrats third party!

More to come!

From the Block Out the Box, Fourth Fridays, Style Factory and Freestyle Galore!

Wussup Y'all...
eventful weekend?... Check!
eventful Start of the week?... Check!
Mic Check?... Double Check!

Friday night...
Fourth Friday's @ Bowery Poetry Club...
Hot Shyt. Hot show... Lots of talent up in the spot.
Yako... (I think that's how you spell it) opened up the show with the ill Beatbox/Laptop set. Never seen anything like it. I've seen this dude live several times and each time it's been a new experience. Dope shyt. Had the crowd bumpin'.! Then they had this dope DJ get down. (Forgot his name sorry man). Did some of the craziest scratches I've ever seen/heard. I guess that's why he was a National finalist. Hyphen One held down the live art. That dude is sick!
After the show they had us up on Stage doing a "Doubles" Emcee Cypher. The first one I did was with Conscious. He's so dope U just don't understand. Somehow after that I managed to get up there with Tranquil. Somehow he misconstrued what I said and we ended up in a friendly battle. It was so dope! We had the crowd going. This dude won the award for "wittiest punchline emcee" at Freestyle Mondays. Remember I battled him at NYU a while back and at The Off the Head gameshow battle at Sin Sin? OK... Round three... No judges... Tranquill called me his Kryptonite. I love that dude. He'll get me sooner or later but not that time! It's all love Tranq! U R the shyt.

Saturday Night...
Style Factory at the knitting factory. They didn't have enough emcees for the "Who's rhyme is it anyway" competition so they asked me to get in on it. U know... After the Spin the mic battle that I fronted on... That ain't happening again. I was in like Flynn. It was me, Bisc 1, Chaz Kangas, and Cern. What a blast. They had us rhyming about Fairy Tales and all kinds of shyt. Bisc took it for the third time in a row. He's dope! Find out about him at http://embeddedmusic.net

Speaking of Bisc 1...
Bisc, Miss Angelina, Ill Spokinn and yours truly finally finished up the "From the Block Out the Box" program with the students at South Bronx Prep. It was fantastic. The kids really showed their stuff. It was amazing to see how these kids were affected by the program. They really impressed us, their parents and the Faculty. We had 2 one hour shows that day and then we all went for Pizza. It was sooooo fantastic. Really refreshing. I suggest giving it a go if you have the means... Kids can really teach you a lot about life and about yourself.

The Kids rocked it. Gotta give a special shout to Rose aka "Miss K" for putting it all together. I'm glad we were able to help you with your dream! Special shout to Miss Jose for helping the students with their Artwork... By the way Miss Jose is a hottie!
We got together and bought flowers for the 2 teachers and the kids gave them the flowers. The kids told Miss Jose that the flowers were from me... In front of the whole crowd... Can U dig these kids trying to play match maker? WOW! Hope Miss Jose didn't think I was trying to get in slick style... but like I said... she is a hottie!

Much More to come!
