Yeah Y'all . Got up in the Brooklyn Law School and rocked the spot with CDs falling off the Energitis vest and the whole shyt. I was jumping on chairs and running up and down the aisles. I never saw so many people sitting down at a show smile so much.

Conclusion... Great show met some cool people but law school must be expensive because all these students claimed to have no $$ to buy my CD!!

It's all good though. I know what low doe status is like... Shyt I'm livin' it right now!

4 Events, 3 Shows, One Day.... Exhaustion

OK... I'm too damn tired to put any serious effort into today's post...
I had no sleep. Worked at the salt mines all night... Slept for about 90 minutes...

1. Went to the show in the South Bronx where the kids from South Bronx Prep threw down. They had one of the best Hip-Hop shows I've ever been too. It was packed. I was really proud. They have me teaching the high school kids now so we gave them a little taste of what we're doing since this show was about the 6,7 & 8th graders. Of course while they had technical difficulties, Who had to freestyle to keep the crowds attention? Yep, me. They loved it. They couldn't get the CD Working so I had to beatbox as the kids did their song. The crowd went nuts!

2. The Group Home Project deeper in the Bronx was the next stop. Every Thursday I run a songwriting workshop for some really talented cats. I'm sorry that they've had troubles in their lives but these cats are so worth it! Lot's of progress tonight. Even got some of them to freestyle. They didn't think they could but now they know they can!

3. Went from there to my show at Laila Lounge in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
It was 5 Degrees outside and snow was everywhere. I rocked for a hungry crowd of 20 people. We had a blast. Then everybody left... Hey... Thanks for coming out!

4. After that I went to the Relax Star Vibe Re-Build Party a couple of blocks away. I got asked to get up on stage as I am one of the founding members of Relax Star Vibe School. Rockes a lil freestyle and got some love. Had a drink and chilled for a bit built with some new fans and hit the road.

So now I'm in front of this computer just for you... Because as much as I love this... Right now... It's all a labor of love!!!!

Loki Da Trixta Photo Shoot

Went out to do flix for Loki Da Trixta's Photo Shoot today. It was freezing cold and we were out on the platform of the F Train in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Shyt was going really well until the screw in my glasses loosened up and the lens just popped out out of nowhere!!
It fell on the floor and chipped. Dammit!
Shyt is expensive. Now I gotta sell like 30 CDs so I can get a new pair!

Life is so unfair!

I got invited back to Brenner's Brew in Bridgeton, NJ for Erotica Night as the feature performer. It was so dope. They had all kinds of freaky assed poetry and shyt.

Tah aka "El Gato"Takes The Battle @ Freestyle Mondays

Yes Y'all!!!!!

Tah as "El Gato". Ripped through 4 Rounds at the First Battle of the Year at Freestyle Mondays!

Round 1: The Wheel
El Gato vs. Loki Da Trixta
The wheel is spun... the topic: Vices
Sub Topic: Bad Habits....

Loki came out kool I don't know if he tried to be easy because we're homies but, I tore him to pieces when I said something to the effect of " You have a bad habit of being wack/ I have a bad habit of sexin your sister and you mother from the back while I'm smokin' Crack" The crowd Loved it!

Round 2: The Blindfold Round
El Gato vs. Nylee
This is the deal.. The Emcee who is rhyming gets blind-folded. The other emcee has to pick a random object from the crowd and give it to the host (Ill Spokinn). I'll Spokinn then puts the object in the blindfolded person's hand and that person has to immediately start rhyming against his opponent using the object as a reference. (Not an easy deal as you might have guessed). Nylee Did his thing but El Gato ripped it!!!! I handed him a rubber earplug. He handed me a compact mirror. Dope round... El Gato takes it. Sorry I can't quote anything from this round. It's a freestyle battle and it's hard to remember things that you just made up off the cuff. Come out to the next one. It's a blast!

Round 3: CB (Cock-Blocking)
El Gato vs. Still Life
Dude was the surprise new emcee in the battle. Made his way through the first two rounds and became damn near the crowd favorite for a minute.
The CB round is where the hostess stands next to one emcee and the other emcee has to convince her as to why he is better for her than the guy she is standing next to.
Emcees beware. I usually kill this round. (I only lost this round once and it was to Emilyis. She's dope. She flipped it on some lesbian shyt. It was crazy). Dude got toasted in this round.

Round 4: Head to Head
El Gato vs. Old Boy
I battled against Old Boy in the last Round. Dude is NICE. But I came harder.
No over time. No chance to come back, no contests dammit...

End Result.... Don't mess with the kid!

El Gato takes it!!!!!!!!
