Make Music NY: "Hip Hop not Hip Slop"

DAAAAAMMMIIITTTTTT!!!

We had it all set up. I brought out the illest sound system to the Long Island University Campus (Downtown Brooklyn). What a beautiful day! Not a cloud in the sky. We had the sound bumpin’ hard! Demostina had the canvas on fire with the live painting. People came out to see a show and Mother Nature wasn’t trying to hear about it. We had Super King Armor come out and rock it first setting the stage for Five Five who came on some “smack the Sh*t outcha” and really made people smile and the ladies swoon. Homeboy Sandman who implanted dreams into the minds of the onlookers, tore the stage to pieces. Then the Sky Opened up and dropped rain and electricity. I guess Mama Natural was trying to say that her sound system was louder. We had to break down all the equipment and pack it in the van. As soon as we finished putting the stuff away the sun came back out. That was some frustrating shyt. We didn’t finish half of the show.

We had the illest freestyle cypher when the sun came back out. We took it back to where it all started!

Big ups to Why G, Coole High, Miss Angelina , Rabbi Darkside, Hired Gun, Hyphen One and Tah Phrum Duh Bush (hey wait… that’s me!) for coming out and being ready to perform. What a line up!

Peep the pics… Don’t worry. There’s more to come! Rain won’t keep us back for long

Hip Hop is Not Dead II: A Hyphen-One Event

Hyphen One did it another huge event at Murphy’s Third Rail in Dover, NJ!

B-Boys, DJs, Graffiti Heads, Live art, Emcees and Beatboxers

I had a blast. Chesney Snow ripped it on the beatbox with Eternia on the emcee tip.

I got out there and did my thang.

I have to say there are always some bizarre occurrences at my shows. This time when I did "Lay That Pipe" there was a crowd of ladies in the front screaming out the hook and pumping their fists while the guys remained docile. That's what I'm talking about. Girls tel the fellas what you want!

I had like 40 new people sign up for my email list and then someone stole my bag when I went up to freestyle so there went all my new people and about 6 CDs. What is it? Should I be flattered that people want to steal my music? If you by chance were there and you're reading this. I didn't abandon you. Someone stole my shyt! Once again!

Anyway, I didn’t let that get in the way of me having a fantastic show. People were asking me to come back more often. We’ll see how Murphy’s feels about it. Hyphen One ripped it as usual with Daylow. This kid is pure talent.

Am I my Bother’s Keeper: Philadelphia

My good friend Nadira Norjahan booked me for a really dope show called "Am I my Brother's Keeper" in Philly at a place called the Arts Garage. They had grub layed out and a green room for the artists and the whole 9 yards. Live band and a big assed stage! Lots of talent and good music. I miss Philly. It’s been a while since I’ve performed there. I was well received. Thanks Philly! Super producer Kyle Ober came out. My Cousin Shela came out and my cousin the nationally acclaimed artist, photographer, journalist “Soul” came out. He saved my life too... He hit me with the breath mint when I got off stage and was working the crowd. Yes… sometimes my breath can get tart too! HAHA!!!

Flix!
