Went to see Chris Valenti Perform at Kenny's Castaways. He's from NY but lives in Cali. He was in town to perform and I went to see him. He asked me to freestyle during his song "Don't Pass Out". It came off so well that the crowd thought it was part of the song. Sniff Sniff... I smell collabo...

Happy Birthday to me!
Happy Birthday to me dammit!
Don't ask... If you don't know, you don't need to know! Started off at the Release Party for C.O.N.C.E.P.T. in Bushwick Brooklyn at Midnight with one of the best freestyle Ciphers I've ever been in with DJ Halo, DJ QZR, Rabbi Darkside, King Armor, Twilight and a drumer and a bassist! Ended up in Williamsburg 24 hours later at DJ Polarity's Mixtape Release Party! Great time man!
Never got drunk. No hangover!

Miss Angelina's Video Release Party
Yeah man! As Ill Spokin told me at the beginning of the year "this will be year of the Collabo for you... " it has proven to be such and to close the year off last night with a performance with Miss Angelina for the song "Getcha Home" at her release party would only be fitting. The crowd loved it (They always love that song). Peep her out at http://missangelina.com

Hyphen One's Show at SouthPaw in Brooklyn
This is the week of the collabo shows!
Tonight I rocked a quick opener for Hyphen One's Brooklyn Release Party for his New Album. Hyphen is dope. One of the most versatile artists I know; emcee, DJ, Visial Artist, Musician... the list goes on. Peep him out @ http://hyphenone.com We performed the banger "Word Word" that's featured on the album. The crowd was a bit quiet but the response was pretty kool when I got off stage. I didn't get to stay for the rest of the set because I had to go to the Salt Mines and work for the man!!! So guess how many CDs I sold?
Yes you guessed it... Not fuckin' one!!!
GRRRR!!!!
Sometimes things don't shine in my direction no matter how positive I am.
Tell your friends to buy my CD so that I can do this music full time dammit!!!!

Nicola's Album Release Party
WOW! is all I can say.
Nah... Not really. U know How long winded I am.
Nicola's Album Release party at Bowery Poetry Club in NYC was some fantabulistic grandiosity!!!
I opened up the show with DJ Polarity rocked the Mic 101, Shine, Phlatbush, and the ended off with a freestyle with Dee-Jay Dom-Nice (Yes... the Original Dee-Jay Dom-Nice) on the beatbox. It was crazy! CDs flew out of my hands like hotcakes at a breakfast starvation conference!
Nicola's set started off kinda f'd up. All the power on the stage blew out so Nicola and the Drummer (Jimmy) and the percussionist ripped it down until we got the power back up. Almost 10 minutes straight of pure uneasiness. They handled it very professionally and didn't lose the crowd.
What a set they played. Extremely powerful!!! The press was impressed, the fans were impressed. Shyt , I think Nicola was impressed too. Highlight... for me anyway was the collabo song we did "In your own Backyard", which, Ahem... is also on her album. Buy it at http://NicolaNicola.com or http://CDbaby.com
Polarity blew it out with a dance party set to be rivaled by none.
I'm gonna post links to some video footage and put some flix up on here too.
I told Y'all this party was gonna be serious!!
Next Collabo show joint is Miss Angelina's Video Release Party at Galapagos in Brooklyn on December 13th. Be there!!!

The Independent Music Conference and the Drama following that...
OK...
Let's get it straight for the record.
A few people have bashed this conference.
A few people tell me they don't like the people who run the conference.
That's all well and good. I don't run the conference. I don't have beef with the people who run it either. Don't expect me to hold your grudges for you.
I have been a participant of this conference for three years and I have had nothing short of positive experiences and networking. So get off of your high horses and stop being so "music industry".
All of my peoples who are down with Music Strategies... Yes... some of the Vets...
U know Tim Sweeney has my total loyalty so cut it out! Stop the non-sense. The great one has briefed me on the situation and I will act as it is necessary.
Sorry to everyone who doesn't know what this is all about. I had to put it in a public place so all could read it as needed. Thanks for letting me clear the air.
Now that we got that off of our chests...
Know that Tah has no beef!!!

Leftist Dies RIP
Yo... there once was a really dope cat named Leftist. He "got hit by a vehicle on the West Side Highway" in NYC on September 2, 2006. So they say. What a fucked up thing man. My homey Core Rhythm called me up with the news. I was wrecked. This dude was so dope.
He was one of the two founding members of one of NYCs most important Underground Hip-Hop crews "Mindspray". Dude walked into a room and shyt became peaceful and illuminated with coolness. It's a shame that he had to go at 24 years old.
I miss U already Leftist!
Much Love to you and yours.
Rest in Peace.
If you didn't know this cat, do your research and find out about him.

Cousin Larry's The Sheet Metal Plaque, Rain and Blood!!
What a night man!
The show at Cousin Larry's in Danbury, CT was a wash out. Literally. What a storm!! It rained and rained and rained and rained and rained... Like 10 people showed up. Shyt, they didn't even know about the show. They just stumbled in. Rocked the set but it was really thin. Met a few dope artists. Cats from the Dugout were there too. I love those dudes man. Lots of charisma!
I had to rock with the ill mummy hand. Let's go back an hour before the show.
My "numba one fan", Linda, made a plaque for me as a marker for my album going "sheet metal". Demo dropped it on the floor and picked it up. Cut her hand on it. Screamed and brought it to me. I rushed over and snatched it from her. It went right through my hand too. So here we are with skin glue and all this shyt right before my show. Ended up with stitches and the whole shyt. What a night. On the way back a deer stopped on the side of the road and starred into my face. It was really freaky.
Hey every show can't be the bomb right?

Did somebody say "Fuck Flatbush"?
Hey man. Last night I went to the Jill Scott, Queen Latifah, and Erica Badhu concert in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. Shyt was tight. U know me... promote, promote, promote!
In between the acts I was walking around with my signs. One of which reads "Yo mama hates underground Hip-Hop by Tah Phrum Duh Bush so play it loud when she's at home".
It amazes me that people don't fully read the things they look at. They only read what they want to see. Some people were like "my mama doesn't hate Hip-Hop. Why would you say that?" It gave me an opportunity to stop and spread the word about my music. Good shyt!
This one dude was like "fuck you... fuck bush... get out of my face." (Mind you I'm wearing a shirt that says Flatbush on it.) I was like "wow man... what's the matter with you?" He said "fuck Bush and fuck you for supporting him." I said "hey man... It's a Flatbush thing aren't you from Brooklyn?" He said "nigga get out of my face with that bush shit all I see is bush on that sign and Fuck Bush!" Now if dude wasn't so nasty to me I would have just left so I said really loud: "Hey everybody... This dude said fuck Flatbush!" About 200 people turned around and looked at him and his attitude changed really quickly. He even came over to ask me what my music was about after that. HAHA! READING is FUNEDMENTAL. Do it before you fuck yourself up talking shyt about things you don't know!
Made a few new friends and some contacts too!

Two shows, new fans, drama and yo mama!!!
Tonight I had 2 shows in NYC. The first one was at Pianos on Ludlow Street.
Before the show I went to meet up with Nicola and the band at a Mexican spot called San Loco's. Crazy shyt is someone said... "Oh
shyt... It's Tah Phrum Duh Bush". I looked up and it was some cats I had met at the second Butt Naked Alien Groupies event on Saint Patrick's day @ BPC.
Kiko Legend and his homey Marc. We kicked it for a while. Dudes were really feeling the music and my freestyles during the show. Thanks a lot y'all for getting at me and letting me know that my job is being done properly! Now tell all of your people to buy my CD dammit!
The show at Pianos was crazy. DJ Polarity came thru and held me down on the Wheels. I love this dude! Look for more from him as he will now be my official DJ.
I opened up the show with Mic 101 and Shine. That's it. That's all. No other songs. I said it was a short show. I was gonna do Energitis but someone made a request for Mic 101. Hey... U got to give the people what they want. Right? Got off the stage and people were scooping up a bunch of CDs. Yay for me! Shit... Yay for them!...The CD is dope! Polarity held it down for Nicola's whole performance. They loved him man.

Wait until you hear Nicola's album... Hot shyt. I got a sneak preview... WOW!!! About half way into Nicola's set we did our Collabo song "In Your Own Back Yard". The crowd lost it! Look out because that's gonna be on the "Tah Collabo's" album as well! Lots of good music is gonna be up on that one!
They had the ill carrot cake upstairs afterward to celebrate Nicola's Birthday. Linda was up in the joint. She gave me a sheet metal plaque since my album finally went "Sheet metal". Thanks love! Hey... That's my #1 fan!!!
Big shout to Man-e. It's been years man. Thanks for coming out!
Bud... It was great to see you at the spot. Sorry U missed the collabo song.
Don't forget. Nicola's Album Release Party. November 17th, 2006 at Bowery Poetry Club.

The second show was at Bowery Poetry Club.
I was supposed to rock a full set but some politics occurred and I ended up doing Mic 101 and Phlatbush and then I was asked to get off of the stage to allow time for other artists because the show started late and an earlier act was on stage a lot longer than they were supposed to be. So once again... Tah gets shorted! Oh well. As a professional, I bowed out gracefully. The crowd booed and was pretty pissed off. Hey... At least they were with me on it. Politics of the music business. Big shout to Mercury from the Dugout. I know U didn't want to do it fam. Nuff respect to you for the love on having me out there in the first place! Big shout to Linda for hitting 2 shows in one night!

Tah finally rocks at Galapagos

Tonight I rocked at Galapagos Art Space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
I've been trying to get up in this piece for a while.
Bisc 1 called me up 2 days ago and asked me to rock. I was like "Hell Yeah".
I only did one song... "Energitis". Brought out the whole set of show props too.
The crowd seemed a bit sluggish but they had no choice but to respond after I got off the stage and brought it to them. Made some new friends and fans and a few people brought some CDs. Saw a dope young lady that I met in October last year who finally made it out to one of my shows the whole KIT and Kaboodle!

Thanks love!
I do this for people like you who stick with me and believe in me!
Now make sure you come out to a show where I do a whole set so you can see the whole show!!!
Don Majo also came out and showed some love too! U R the shyt man!

Who is this hottie?
Hmmmmm.....

Lyric Kill Surgery
Last night was the last of 8 consecutive 12-hour shifts at the hospital Y'all... I am sooo tired!
Anyway... on my break I stole out to Sin Sin and jumped in the battle as "Lyric Kill Surgery". It was fun man. I was so tired up there in my scrubs and shyt. I don't know how I got out of the first round. Paulino clearly out gunned me. I guess it was luck or something. Next round I killed it against K-Swift... bet then he killed it too so we went into over time with a head to head. Lyric Kill Surgery moved on to the next round. The next round was really hard. They blind folded me and put an object from the crowd in my hand and I had to rhyme against my opponent with references to the object. I did well, but not well enough. Broke MC took it and moved on to the last round to battle Tranquil who once again took the battle.
Good shyt Y'all!
More charachters to come... The crowd loves that shyt! Be there for the next one on the first Monday of September. You won't be sorry.

Conscious' Art Show
Today I went to my patner in crime Conscious' art show at Newbian Herritage in Harlem.
Lots of dope art was up on the walls. Very bougie indeed. I felt like I was in a Tae Diggs, Morris Chestnut, Vivica A. Fox and Lorenz Tate movie... Wine and cheese and lots of fakeness... Made some power moves though... U know how I do.
I've been interacting with a lot of visual artists as of late.
There were lots of know people up in the spot. But you know me... I ain't about name droppin' so you'll just have to be curious. If you ever want to come out to these events with me, let me know. I'll bring U with me. You just have to stay in contact with me on a regular basis because things pop up out of nowhere.
Good shyt Conscious! I'm proud of Ya!

The crowd ate it up. Congrats to Saga One. The album is off the chain. By the way, I'm featured on the last track on the album called "Brooklyn". Pick it up! it's well woth the $10. http://cypherproductions.com/

Tah and Rabbi D get jerked out of the Battle League
Peep this out Y'all...
Firstly, thank you to all of my people who went all out for me and voted on the battles at jumpoff.tv. Rabbi D and I got more yes votes than any other crew.
The catcher is... they picked the crews with the least amount of "No" votes. I think they just didn't want us in there. Because the cats that followed us were the cats that had the most "Yes" votes after us. All of them got in and we didn't. What a bunch of shyt!
Anyway... Thanks again to all who voted. Hope to see you at show soon!

Tah Hosts Freestyle Mondays with Undakova and Mariella
Hey man...
I had the honor of co-hosting Freestyle Mondays in the absence of Ill Spokinn.
Mariella (Ill's partner) called me up and asked me at like 8pm. I was like "hell yeah!". Shyt was dope. All the emcees ripped it. I gotta give Ill Spokinn a ton of credit. That shyt ain't easy... to come up with hooks on the fly and work with a live band and a ton of talented emcees and co-ordinate with Mariella's singing. Hotness!
Undakova and Mariella Y'all are dope!
More to come!

Once again The Stage is wrecked and Tah wins the Freestyle Pyramid!
Hey Y'all!
The crowd was small but the energy was high at Bowery Poetry Club Last night.
It was a fundraiser party thrown by my homey Eliel.
I got called up on stage to freestyle as soon as I got there. Craziness. The crowd was very responsive. I went back and forth with Eliel (the host of the show who is a dope poet). I had a blast. Rabbi D and Farbeon from third Party got up on stage and we did the freestyle pyramid Ha Ha!!!!!
Third Party then rocked a set with Adam Matta. This cat is one of the best Beat boxers on the Planet by far. This dude has more stamina than a rabid lion on Viagra. What a set. After that I rocked out with Energitis (Yes the jacket made it's way out...) Mic 101/Shine followed and then Lay That Pipe and Today.
I sold my CDs and gave half the proceeds to the charity. How's that for love! I give back to the community man!
More to come!

Buy my CD... It's good and I need to pay my rent dammit!

Falldown @ Asterisk in Brooklyn... Maybe my best show yet!
Mannnnnnnn Listen!
Friday July, 14, 2006... Falldown Cypher at Asterisk...
U wanna hear about a show....? This show was the shyt!
This is my third night out of four straight nights performing.
What a build up.
The Falldown cats are dope. Broke MC, Domer, Bisc 1, Undakova... Y'all are the shyt! They kept bigging me up before I got on stage. I had signs all over the room. It was dark, the mood was set so perfectly.
Sentence got on stage and did his thing. (Dude's album is dope by the way)
When the crowd heard Pomp and Circumstance come on the went nuts. I got on stage and opened up with Mic 101. I don't know if I've ever heard cheering for me this loud. The room was packed! People were singing every lyric right along with me! What a rush!
After that I called some unsuspecting emcees up on stage with me. Ill Spokinn, Core Rhythm, Conscious, and Hired Gun. We had the crowd right words on paper and freestyled about it in story format. Craziness...
After that I did "Energitis". WOW!! They were calling for the Energitis jacket so I stopped the song and put it on! They went crazy... When the strobe light came on and reflected into the crowd there was another thunderous roar. WOW man listen. If you haven't seen it see it soon!
I then rocked "Today", All the emcees in the place were with me on this one
and Lay that Pipe was as usual... a show stopper. I can't believe I jumped off the stage and was on the floor doing some "one-handed push-up and switch hands"-humps after three days with no sleep type of shyt. I guess Adrenaline and some energy donated by the crowd gives a brother some super strength huh? They loved that shyt.
I closed the set with a classic from the Untitled EP... "Toilet Paper!"
If you could've seen the amount of TP they had flying in the air!!!! It was overwhelming man. This is what I live for! Thanks to everyone who came out. It was definitely one of my top 10 of all time shows. Right up there with the Webster Hall joint, the Sin Sin/Freestyle Mondays joint and last year's Independent Music Conference performance in Philly!
More to come and yet another show tonight!
Stay with me!
Peace, Love and the MIC,
Tah!

Tah Does it up At the Khyber in Philadelphia
Yeah dammit!
Philly... The Khyber...
Tah opened up the show with the ill 15 minute freestyle as the DJs got the sound together. Those who were paying attention at that time got a real treat. I was in rare form man... But then again, when am I not in rare form? My set was short but sweet. added 20 people to my mailing list within 10 mintes of being of stage. Welcome to the family y'all. Be prepared to have your lives forever altered. My set was short so the freestyle helped me to warm the crowd up. The stage was small. Lay That Pipe was crazy. I called this dude Sean and this girl who said she was from Flatbush up on stage to do the friendly competition thing and the girl lost badly. She said her favorite position was missonary... "I like to keep it simple". The crowd was like "Boooo!", especially the ladies. Dude was like "First I caress the booty like this, then I put one leg with the high heel on it on my shoulder right here and then I get in it like UUUHHHGGGGNNNN!!!!" That shyt was so funny. Congrats on the CD man! The sound man was dope. People came out in droves. just to see lil' ol me... oh yeah and a flock of other dope emcees. Big Jus of Company Flow was the headliner. I don't know how this always happens but as I stepped out to get a tringular piece of bread with tomato sauce and cheese that is baked in an oven and cut off of a larger circular piece of bread with tomato sauce and cheese, a fight broke out. What the fuck? I leave cats for 2 seconds and they stop knowing how to act? Anyway it was quickly resolved and the show got back on the hot step. Good shyt man. My only complaint. How come cats are throwing a show and end up using my CD player for the entire show? WOW! Tah comes thru in the clutch again! Saw my man Adam Jeeze and Thom Blanks... the freestyle beast... we had the illest freestyle session after the show. Me and this cat could do doubles in a battle really well. Peace to Blandina (good to see you ma) and Rob From http://Whomag.net for coming out. Thanks to Yikes for putting me on to the show. Maya' thanks for not doing the WOP or pop locking with me. I hope you enjoyed your personal freestyle even though you missed my show. That was so kool. Hope you enjoy the CD. Kyle Ober... thanks for all of your insight and the slice of triangular bread with tomato sauce and cheese. Thanks to everyone who came out and showed love... especially Bink, the girl who pulled the rubber band on my wrist and left the ONLY WELT! That was really mean! A moment to remember for life... Ouch dammit! Thanks to all those who picked up a copy of my CD.
Tonight I'm back on stage in Brooklyn at Asterisk. I'll keep you posted!

EL GATO!!!!
July 2nd 2006
Freestyle Mondays. Off the Head Gameshow Battle.
Tranquil (Drop Squad)and Hired Gun (Third Party/Drop Squad) had a battle at 106th and Park (the actual street location) they killed their opponents (for the jumpoff.tv shyt). It was brutal. I drove them back downtown to Freestyle Mondays. Now, if you've been keping up with my chronicles, then you know that Tranquil and I have been having a friendly competition going for a while. Well, we got into a shyt talking competition in the car and I told Tranquil that the only way he could beat me in a battle is if I changed my identity.
So tonight just happened to be the night where I signed up for the battle as "El Gato", I took off my glasses, pulled my hat down low, and had V, who was working the camera borrow some eyeliner from Mariella and put dark circles under my eyes. . Crazy shyt... We (Tranquil and I) tore through all of the emcees in the battle and ended up in the last round together. It was pretty heated, but Tranquil won... See, I told him that was the only way he would ever beat me! Dude is dope. I love that guy! .... El Gato was a hit and he'll be back soon! Keep your eyes open.
Peace to Undakova and Core Rhythm who tore down the stage with the opening performances!

Baba Israel Show
Slid out to Bushwick on the humble tonight after being invited on the impromptu tip to the CD release party for Baba Israel and Yako's new album "Beatbox Dub Poetics". They had it in their studio space. It was sooooo dope!. Standing room only man! These cats are talented beyond recognition. This is the type of shyt that should be all over the radio and TV. On the real! Cat's had the drum machines and the laptops cranking, Keyboards and synthesizers humming, Yako played the Bass and both of them were on the beatbox. They had cats b-boying and shyt. Also invited emcees up on some surprise shyt. Yeah.. U know who they called out of nowhere? Yeah My ass... so you know I had to drop an ass backwards freestyle. Got a lot of love too. Kool shyt man!
Congrats y'all!
