The Flatbush Frolic

OH Yes!!! My Hometown!
Flatbush...
The Street Fair "The Flatbush Frolic".

I have not slept for 56 hours as of this posting. I am exhausted beyond words.

Everything that went into preparation for this event was a huge success. I even went all out and purchased a tent for my vendor area. I made t-shirts for my Street Team with the Tah Phrum Duh Bush logo on them.

Demo G made me some new signs for promotion. This time they're on sticks y'all. Landed my name in the Brooklyn Eagle... How U like that?! HUH?!!!

Got to the spot after burning and labeling 400 CDs and the police wouldn't let me in to get my permit for parking and you had to get inside to get your permit. Sometimes I think it is a requirement to have some "asshole" in you for you to be allowed to complete the police academy. If you're a cop and you're offended by this, it's probably because you're one of those cops with a little bit of "asshole" in you. Anyway... Got in the spot. Went back to get my stuff. Came back to the area and set up... The tent had no instructions with it. SHYT! Luckily this dude that has a similar tent shed some light on the story. Whew! Got everything set up and ready to go. Gee from 37 Deep brought my shipment of Fl@bush t shirts over and it was on!

The crowd ate up the t-shirts like crazy!

I had to be store proprietor and performer. Before the day was out I rocked twice. Once at the Eastern Stage and once at the Western Stage. Why I wasn't on the Main Stage I don't know but my impression was felt. Those signs were all over the place. I paraded up and down and freestyled for people. Flyers were given out and the name was spread. 2:30pm at the Eastern Stage. DJ Polarity's new mixer proved to not be so "new". It didn't work so we had to run the set with him and Coole High on the Beatbox. It was incredible! The crowd loved it. Mic 101, Shine, Flatbush, and a custom made freestyle session of course. Lots of names on the email list. And the family grows!

Made my way back to my vendor area where Demo G was holding it down for me. Thanks ma!

She sold like 4 pieces of her art out there. Conscious had his Conscious Bootleggers table set up in my area as well. People stayed at out tent.

Then shortly after My team and I made it out to the Western Stage which actually wasn't a stage but a DJ set up and a couple of mics.

Got on the set with Polarity and started to freestyle and some kids came uo and wanted to battle. So it was on. One by one, they all fell. It was a really good time until one of them dropped the mic on the floor then that was over. Polarity put on some chicken noodle soupishness and the kids went crazy. They formed a circle and danced their hearts out. Good times and I got a break.

Big ups to those who came out to support and lend a hand. I couldn't have done it without y'all.
